The Prophet's Table

I came across an interesting piece of walnut at a saw mill and decided it would make a small table top. I decided to call it The Prophet's Table, because the grain pattern of the walnut seemed to suggest a bearded face with an up-raised arm. The table is 18"x18" across the top, and 21" high. It is made of walnut, sweet gum, and hickory.

  1. fascinating!
i can see features of a woman's face too (in the "up-raised arm"), shrouded in a veil. sort of Pietà, perhaps?
    the craftsmanship is outstanding!
    thank you for sharing.
