Making Sun Tea

In Tennessee, and in the south in general, sun tea is a popular icy cold summertime drink. Tea bags steep in water over several hours in the sun. Quite refreshing!!

  1. Getting energy directly from the sun! And what is the tea made of?

  2. Well, one can use any kind of tea bags or loose tea (if you want to strain it off later) I use a readily available Orange Pekoe black tea in 7g bags. I use 3 of these/gal of water. Nutritionally, it is zero in such as cals, fat, carbs, and protein. But it is said to have good antioxident qualities. Mostly I make it because it is refreshing, and it gets hot as hell here in the summer!
